Tips For Fishing With Lures

It is one of the most exciting fishing methods, and dates back 2000 years BC And as in the world of fishing in general, nothing is said in fishing with artificial lures. Even so, we offer a series of tips to keep in mind.

Possess a good amount of different lures, especially in its action. They vary not only in color, but also in depth to which they navigate, movement that prints the action of our cane, material with which it was built, or size of Hook or triple that it possesses.

Each fish we try to try has a certain range of recommended lures. Also, depending on the size of it is the size of the deceit, so try to have different hand in that direction as well. Lures for each fish

Each lure has attached a hook or triple of different size and shape by rings, type keyrings, which should be in the spare box, exchanging them according to the notion of size of fish that exist in the area.

These types of fishing lures are available at

The spoons, which resembles the shape of a ladle without a handle, is very useful. Its shape makes it flutter in the water when navigating, and those that combine with red, which predators confuse with blood, are the most popular.

The crankbait, made of plastic or wood, are the most recognizable and have more followers. They have a palette in the head generally, which makes it gain depth. They have small balls in them, which resemble the noise of rattlesnakes, which makes it more effective.

The rotating lures, a sort of combination between spoon and crankbait, and resemble the movement of a real fish when turning or staggering. They usually have a single simple hook, sometimes anti-hitch type, and are quite noisy in the water.

The jigs, having a head and tail feathers are perhaps the most used in fresh or salt water.

The plug , plying rosando the water surface. It is very versatile and useful for fish that hover well above. There are also dive type plug.

The frogs, or plastic lures,  which as its name says it has a frog shape, and are very effective for example in fishing with tarariras.

Launch technique:

Throw traditional type to the desired place, which usually is more effective the one that has vegetation (which deserves use of artificial with anti hook in its hook), maintaining the cane with a 45° angle with respect to the water. Then, collect by printing “vitality” to the lure with small strokes with the tip of the reed, varying the speed of picking up the nylon.

The deadstick technique,  with which we will make the artificial imitate the behavior of a vulnerable or injured dam. When casting the decoy, let it rest until the surface waves are gone. Count to 10 and print a movement picking up nylon. Repeat the operation until you have it close or when you get a catch.

Fishing with bright lures may be effective with certain fish but not overused because the sun’s reflection may temporarily blind them and cause them confusion.

Rotating reels are recommended, or type eggs to fish with artificial ones.

Use leaders of steel, of different pounds according to the teeth of the fish, to avoid that we lose the artificial one.

Try to go not only by changing the artificial according to the efficiency we are having, but also the place where we throw and the speed with which we collect or print movements with the tip of the cane.

Once we stop using them, clean them and try to dry them, leaving no remains of vegetation or anything else in hooks or tiples, for longer duration.
