In the chronicle of this week I come to you about the fruit and its importance to our organism, and I also share with you the recipe of two natural juices that I love.

Refreshing, nutritious and tasty, the fruit is one of the most consumed food in the world, however there are many people who do not consume as much fruit as they should and do not recognize the importance of fruit in our lives.

I speak for myself, I used to rarely eat fruit, I can not live without it nowadays.

Its regular consumption improves the good functioning of our body and provides us with numerous benefits.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), we must consume between 3-5 pieces of fruit and vegetables a day, and the fruit should be around 3 pieces (about 160 grams each piece).

As a snack, in smoothies or salads, the fruit is a great option not only for the proper functioning of the body, but also to kill the “pet” when the craving for sweets consumes us!

BENEFITS OF FRUIT CONSUMPTION

  • A food with high nutritional value that provides vitamins, fiber , water and minerals;
  • Reduces the risk of diseases such as cardiovascular diseases ;
  • It improves intestinal functioning since it is a food rich in dietary fiber;
  • Rich in antioxidants , thus protecting our cells.

2 RECIPES FOR REFRESHING, NUTRITIOUS AND TASTY JUICES

I leave you now two recipes of two juices prepared with fruit and vegetables, and deales by this time of year. 

1. GREEN SUMO

– Ingredients –

  • Ice
  • 1 banana 
  • 1 hand full of spinach 
  • 1 tablespoon chia  dessert
  • 200ml coconut water 
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon 

– Method of preparation –

  1. After grinding the ingredients, just add the ice and the juice is ready to be consumed.

2. RED FRUIT JUICE

– Ingredients –

  • Ice 
  • 2 hands full of strawberries 
  • 2 hands full of raspberries 
  • 2 tablespoon ginger  dessert
  • 200ml of almond vegetable drink 

– Method of preparation –

  1. After grinding the ingredients of the shake, just add the ice and the natural juice is ready to be consumed. 

Note: Although fruit is an essential food in our diet, it is important to remember that it contains sugar (fructose) in its constitution. Although it is a natural and healthy sugar, it is still sugar and its consumption should also be moderate. The 3 daily doses are ideal and sufficient to guarantee all the benefits.

Excessive consumption of fruit and consequent excessive consumption of simple sugars can lead to weight gain and accumulation of body fat.
