“On September 8, it’s time for the next race in SWE-Cup, then it’s Cheddar that hosts our site XCO. It is the yearly MTB race that takes place at the Kesberget. This year, our site CK entrusted to organize the contest as a race in SWE-Cup. This makes clear that the Sweden elite is in place to fight on important points.
Our site will be on site and the live-broadcast the contest over the net. So have you not able to attend in our site so can you still follow the event live here. We started with our broadcast at 9:30.
After success with online video broadcasts of Open De Suede 2013 so we see no doubt that we shall be with and send this event.
Strong Field of MTB Championships This Weekend
Our site: Alexandra Engen, Jenny Rissveds, Emil Lindgren and Matthias W are some of the names when Swedish championship in mountain biking will be held 17-19 July in Hestra.
790 cyclists have signed up to make up for Championship medals in the disciplines of cross country (XCO) and sprint (XCE). In the elite class starts among others Emil Lindgren, Matthias W and Jenny Rissveds, as well as Alexandra Engen, who last weekend made a comeback after a longer race on MTB Bundesliga in German Titisee-Neustadt, where she showed a nice shape and finished in 9th place.
The races will be held on a brand new course, built before the SM and keep international competition standard.
– Mount provides us with over 100 meters of altitude to work with and the reserve’s wild nature is a lovely setting for the race. Most of the course is easily accessible for the audience and we believe that even the shooters will appreciate the resort’s arena-character where the course, accommodation and restaurant are gathered, said Keith Johansson, event manager for MTB (short for mountain bike)Championships in 2015.
Program 17-19 July
Friday 17 July
Begins with individual time qualifications on a short course. Final heat from 13.00, where two riders from each heat proceeding to the next step. Anything can happen, fast and tight.
Saturday 18 July
Young people and seniors from all over Sweden vying for Championship medals in their classes. First start at 9 am.
Sunday 19 July
Start with the oldest youth and junior classes, including one of the world’s best women’s Juniors Ida J. At 12.30 competing Swedish dame small followed by herrelit.
Individual time qualifications on a short track which measures 500-1,000 metres. Then the knockout heats with four riders per heat where the main proceeding. The discipline also everyone’s elimination.
Cross country olympic (XCO)
The competition goes to a varvbana (4-6 km long) with a mass start. The track consists of several short climbs, as well as very fast nedförslöpor. How technical courses vary, but roots, rock, drop, sometimes jumps and technical parties is part of the set-up. However, there are alternative tracks past the toughest part of the course. Competition time varies depending on the class, between 45 and 105 minutes.
